Hello Again...

Hard to believe it has been seven years since I posted on this blog.  I promise to do better!

Hey all...get ready for some regular blogging as I prepare to deploy. More to follow...

This is a test to see if I can still get on to Blogger.

BLOGs are hard to keep up with...this is a prime example. Check out www.guitarattack.com to see the finished Les Paul. It really looks great.

The guitar is looking great and we're going to spray some more clear over the weekend. Check back next week for photos.

Word of warning. When you spray clear over the cherry shader it may make the cherry "creep" onto the white binding. Mist some coats on the cherry, particularly around the binding, until the color is set.

The weather is very humid, so we decided to install some new pickups in our FM3 TV guitar. We had tired of the humbuckers and decided to install some single coil P-90s. We scored some Mighty Mite P-90s with covers and screws on eBay for $29.99! We put them in and they sound great -- very Leslie West and Mountain-like. Lots of hum, but it does sound great cranked.
